The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE), in partnership with the Development Bank of the Philippines, hosted a listing forum for owners of small and medium enterprises on November 17, 2016 at PSE Ayala.
The forum was organized to provide entrepreneurs with the basic background on listing at the PSE, covering topics on the advantages of listing, the regulatory environment, and developing an Initial Public Offering story. It also featured the sharing of actual experiences of companies listed on the Small, Medium, and Emerging Board of the PSE.
“Through this listing forum, we hope to increase awareness among SMEs that fund raising through the equities market is an option they can always consider. We also strive to explain to entrepreneurs the mechanics of being a publicly listed company so that it will not be a daunting prospect for them,” PSE President and CEO Hans B. Sicat said.
This is the second year that a listing forum for SMEs was hosted by the PSE and DBP. The listing forum is among the programs under the Memorandum of Agreement between the two companies aimed at capital market development.
